  Makietie 2011
Makietie 2011

On Saturday morning before sunrise the Makietie started. The 10,9m birthday cake had to be iced, the food stalls had to be set up, fires had to be started and endless tasks had to be performed. There was an electrifying atmosphere in the air. Once the children started arriving excitement and expectation could be read on their faces. The day promised to be full of fun and treats for everyone.

At 10:00 the banner walk started with the children from all our different programmes. A lot of trouble went into the painting of these colourful banners. War cries sounded whilst the children were walking as the day's festivities started.
