Stars raise funds for the children of Abraham Kriel Childcare
On 15 September some of SA's most popular personalities gathered at the magnificent, five-star accredited, Scarlett Ribbon in Edenvale to raise funds to ensure that disadvantaged children would have the privilege of attending school and pursuing an academic career. The aim of the event is to raise at least R500 000 towards the educational expenses for the more than 800 children in the care of Abraham Kriel Childcare. To make this possible, a number of companies and individuals supported the project by sponsoring tables to the tune of R15 000 per table.
The theme for this year was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with MC Hykie Berg (winner of Survivor SA) as Willy Wonka, supported by Letshego Moshoeu. Guests were entertained by celebrities with a heart for children in need such as Willem Botha, Thabo Hlongwane, Heinz Winckler and Charlize Bergh. Some of Abraham Kriel's toddlers also performed as Oompa Loompas on the night. |
